Six tag teams entered the ring in a Tag Team Battle Royal Rules bout for a guaranteed bye in the first round of the 2018 KERNODLE BROTHERS TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT. The first four eliminations are Battle Royal rules, over the top rope, and the final two teams square off for a deciding tag rules match to determine the winner. Ethan A. Sharpe and Cain Justice; Aaron Epic and Abel; Otto Wrestling Machine and Donnie Dollar$; RGL Champion Kool Jay and Dirty Daddy; Aaron Biggs and Snooty Foxx and Redemption's Michael McAllister and Nick Richards brawled at the bell with the Redemption team and the Sharpe/Justice duo eliminated first. Otto and Dollar$ were eliminated next, followed by Kool Jay and Dirty Daddy, leaving Aaron Epic and Abel to battle Aaron Biggs and Snooty Foxx for the final fall. The "Rampaging Beast" Biggs and "Beast In Training" Foxx took the duke and the guarnateed bye in the Kernodle Tournament.
Aspen "the Mermaid" Rose was out next for ladies action against newcomer the "Babe With The Power" Willow Nightingale. In a high-spirited bout, the Power took the final advantage over the Mermaid, winning by a powerful pinfall.
CWF Golden Ticket holder Aric Andrews entered next for singles action against the Mid Atlantic Outlaws' Matt Houston. The two veterans put on a clinic and had a match that momentum ebbed and flowed from bell to bell. It flowed toward Aric Andrews allowing him to pull off a pinfall win over Matt Houston.
Six man tag team action was introduced with Coach O'Gemini presenting "Ace" Arik Royal, Mace Li & Chikara Tag Champion Rick Roland to take on Chet Sterling, the Proletariat Boar of Moldova and Ol' Juke Joint Lucas Calhoun. An incredible battle ensued with each man receiving what he had given out moments before, including the stunning actions of Coach O'Gemini, who entered the ring to challenge Calhoun to a martial arts match. The All Stars won the match by virtue of numbers, pulling off a pinfall win under shady circumstances.
Logan Easton Laroux made his return to the Sportatorium to find himself across the ring from one of the hottest young properties in the indies, Cam Carter. High flyer Carter and preppy Laroux put on an interesting contest that displayed the two competitors' differences and similarities. Cam Carter turned the tide to take the duke by pinfall over the improved Laroux, which seemed greatly appreciated by the fans. William L. Cross entered with the house mic to inform Cam Carter that he'd already caught the eye of PWI International Ultra-J Crown Champion Andrew Everett and would very likely be given a title shot in the near future.
The challenger for the CWF Worldwide Television Championship was drawn and Ethan Alexander Sharpe entered with partner-in-crime Cain Justice in tow. TV Champion Shane "Hurricane" Helms made his entrance and reacted when he learned Justice would remain at ringside, calling out his friend PWI International Heavyweight Champion Ric Converse, he joined him in his corner at ringside in street clothes. Converse' presence must have fixed the karma, as the Hurricane blew through Sharpe with a pinfall at the sixteen-second mark of the match.
Helms took the house mic and stated he hadn't even broken a sweat and asked Alexander and Justice if they'd like to have a little tag match against himself and Converse and a referee hit the ring to officiate. Helms did get separated from his corner for a segment of the bout, but Converse held court when he made it in legally to change the tide of battle. The Helms-Converse Connection took the pinfall win in just over ten minutes in bonus tag team action.
The Dawson Brothers entered for Open Challenge Tag Team Title action and demanded the challengers be "larger than RGL Champion Kool Jay". They were surprised to see "Assassin" Ray Kandrack answer the challenge and then introduce his partner Mike Mars. One of the hardest-hitting contests in years erupted with the Dawsons in a position where they didn't have their usual size advantage over their opponents. Mike Mars found himself on a bum leg late after assaults on it by Dave Dawson and that opened the door to a Dawson Brothers pinfall win. Kandrack questioned Mars after the bout, Mars shoved him away and exited without comment.
"Southern Savior" John Skyler entered for his challenge for Trevor Lee's CWF Mid Atlantic Unified Heavyweight Championship, with Lee following moments later. The fans, while solidly behind the champion, understood the gravity of the night after Skyler assaulted Lee in Chapel Hill to force the issue. With no time limit the two felt each other out early, with Skyler taking numerous trips to the floor to break the champion's momentum. The two locked up and worked over body parts like the Anderson Brothers taught, with both men taking damage. Referee Charles Richardson was KO'd at the 36 minute mark by a Trevor Lee boot after John Skyler saw it coming and ducked out of the way. Even with the help of a shot with the huge Mid Atlantic Title belt, Skyler was unable to fend off the wrath of an angry and hurt champion, with Trevor Lee forcing the submission with the STF after the 42 minute mark.
