PWI President William L. Cross opened the two-day event by introducing the guests of honor, Don and Rocky Kernodle, who welcomed the fans to the 3rd Annual Kernodle Brothers Tag Team Tournament.

The first of four first-round tournament matches was introduced, pitting TGA Moss and Jamal the Titan against PWI Central Carolinas Champion Snooty Foxx and CWF RGL Champion "Cowboy" Kool Jay. A physical and personal looking battle erupted with TGA Moss and Jamal advancing with a pinfall win.

Strength In Numbers' Number Man and Number Braaah with Grand Daddy Numbers entered next to battle CWF Worldwide Television Champion Aaron Biggs and Mike Mars in first-round tournament action. Biggs and Mars advance in the shortest tournament bout of the year by pinfall.

Former CWF Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions Tank Lawson and Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride drew Corruption's Ethan A. Sharpe and Dirty Daddy for first-round tournament action and immediately began disrupting their famous plan. The BTF Express' McBride and Lawson advance with a pinfall win over the masked Numbers family.

Danny Vegas and "Amish Outlaw" Hezikiah Hoskins along with Jebidiah Moss and Betsey the Chicken entered for the final first-round match against TKOPA's Ulysse "OPA" Demos and Teddy "TKO" Ireland Jr. The fan-favorite TKOPA advanced to the second round with a convincing pinfall win over the Amish Outlaws and Vegas.

Cam Carter and Cain Justice were introduced for a special attraction singles bout and a grueling mat match between two of the rising young stars of the area, with most of the action taking place on the canvas, which would seem to be a disadvantage to Carter. Carter, however, withstood a bit of a beating to come back and defeat Justice by pinfall.

Second-round Kernodle Tag Team Tournament action was introduced pitting first-round winner TGA Moss and Jamal the Titan against Redemption's Michael McAllister and Nick Richards. Moss and Jamal hid in the shadows and attacked Redemption during their introduction, dropping both men to the concrete at ringside. Redemption, however, continued to fight and turned the battle in their favor, advancing by pinfall to the Saturday evening Finals.

CWF Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions BitDon ICO's Donald J. BitDon and Otto Schwanz with Khan O'Kelly entered to take on "Rampaging Beast" Aaron Biggs and Mike Mars in second-round action with the titles on the line. The champions escaped with the titles and avanced to the Saturday night Finals by pinfall.

All Stars' Arik "AceGawd" Royal and PWI International Heavyweight Champion Roy Wilkins, with their entourage of Coach Gemini and Jarry Carey entered to battle Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride and Tank Lawson for the ticket into the Saturday Finals. Coach Gemini expertly led the All Stars to victory with a little mayhem and a helping hand from the floor.

Revolutionary's Darius Lockhart and Big Time Yah entered to battle TKOPA's Teddy Ireland Jr. and Ulysse Demos in the Friday main event for an invite to the Saturday Finals. An fast-paced match erupted with Lockhart and Yah dishing out the punishment as Demos and Ireland Jr. seemed to roll with the punches and regroup for the next salvo. TKOPA caused the crowd to roar when the three-count was made and it was announced they would advance to the Saturday Finals.

The Saturday Finals kicked off with a few words by both Kernodle Brothers and PWI President William L. Cross.

"Cowboy" Kool Jay's Rising Generation League Championship was on the line in the evening's opening bout, defending against Amish Outlaw Hezikiah Hoskins with Danny Vegas, Jebidiah Moss and Betsey the Chicken. The Cowboy ruled the range and now rules the farmyard with a pinfall win to retain his belt.

With the CWF Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Titles on the line, semi-final action began for the 3rd Annual Kernodle Brothers Tag Team Tournament pitting champion BitDon ICO's Donald J. BitDon and Otto Schwanz with Khan O'Kelly against TKOPA's Ulysse "OPA" Demos and "TKO" Teddy Ireland Jr. Coming from behind in a physical fight, TKOPA advances to the main event Tournament Final and became CWF Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions with one simple pinfall win.

The All Stars gang hit the arena, with Coach Gemini immediately demanding the match be called a forfeit due to the injury of Nick Richards on the previous night. PWI President William L. Cross stepped in and refused to disappoint the Kernodle Brothers, who were there to see tag team wrestling, and allowed RGL Champion "Cowboy" Kool Jay to tag with McAllister. Fighting under protest, the All Stars pulled off the win to advance to the Final to face TKOPA in the main event.

For the first time ever, the PWI Central Carolinas Championship was scheduled to be defended in the Sportatorium with Danny Vegas challenging champion Snooty Foxx. Jebidiah Moss lurked at ringside in the Vegas corner and watched as his friend came back from a big disadvantage to force Foxx to make a break to catch his breath. Foxx did, however get a second wind and retained his championship by pinfall in just over ten minutes.

Aric Andrews entered with a steel chair, forced CL Party to exit and sat down to give his public response to Kamakazi Kid's challenge for a Kazi Rules Match at Absolute Justice. Surprisingly, Andrews agrees to put his career and livelyhood on the line, but stipulated that if Kazi loses, he unmasks and retires from wrestling.

Eight man tag team action was introduced pitting Strength In Numbers' Corporate Number Dad, Number Braaah and Grand Daddy Numbers with Corruption's Dirty Daddy against Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride, Tank Lawson, Mike Mars and Adrian "Action" Jackson. The fan favorites won by submission (an "Action" Jackson Torture Rack!) two seconds past the twenty minute mark and two minutes and two seconds after Grand Daddy Numbers made his way to his team's corner.

Corruption's Ethan Alexander Sharpe entered with Dirty Daddy to take on Cam Carter in a singles challenge match asked for after Carter's win over former Corruption member Cain Justice. Sharpe showed off a lot of fast-paced chain wrestling and kept pace with the high-flying Cam Carter from bell to bell. Sharpe took advantage around the ten minute mark but Carter turned the tides and finished him off by pinfall.

The weekend's main event, the Final match of the 3rd Annual Kernodle Brothers Tag Team Tournament, saw the rolling All Star squad enter to take on the red-hot new CWF Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions TKOPA. The All Stars asked the champions to defend their titles, to which they agreed, and the building was electric as the official called for the bell and an instant classic unfurled before our very eyes.

Were the stars aligned? Was there something electric about the moment? Did lightning strike? Yes, Yes and quite possibly, Yes.

After nearly 30 minutes of battle in a hot and humid arena, both teams were still going strong. Then it happened. TKOPA's Ulysse Demos and Teddy Ireland Jr. rode that lightning bolt of history and defeated the highly-decorated All Star team to retain their titles and win the 3rd Annual Kernodle Brothers Tag Team Tourament.
