CWF EXPLOSIVE ELEMENTS 2017 began with a bang as Coach Gemini and Jarry Carey presented All Star Mace Li to take on So Time's Snooty Foxx in singles action. The slippery Li got an early advantage on Foxx, who finally flipped the switch and pinned the pesky Mace Li in under six minutes.
Michael "the Fury" McAllister was led to the ring by William L. Cross to take on returning Nick Richards in singles action. Cross coached from ringside for parts of the bout, trying to keep McAllister focused on the match at hand. The "Fury" showed up and Richards used the appearance of his darker half to finally take control of the bout and take the duke by a pinfall win. Richards and McAllister shook hands after the bout and left with no hard feelings.
Somewhere in the Kernodle Suite, former RGL Champion Cain Justice got a house mic and began a verbal assault on the men in the previous match, claiming that he is on the path to greater things than those who came before him.
Tag team action followed with "Wrestling Machine" Otto Schwanz and Mike Mars teaming up to take on the former tag champions Sandwich Squad Mecha Mercenary and Aaron Biggs. Mecha got his bell rang midway through the bout and was on rubber legs for several moments, allowing Schwanz and Mars to capitalize and steal a pinfall win from the Squad.
Coach Gemini and Jarry Carey entered with "Ace" Arik Royal for singles action against Chet Sterling, pitting a powerhouse against a high-flyer in singles action. In a battle that lasted well over twenty minutes, the monster All Star Royal beat down Sterling to the point he could barely defend himself, taking him to the canvas for a pinfall win.
Following intermission, as officials set up to choose the evening's challenger for the CWF Worldwide Television Championship, former champion the "People's Choice" Aric Andrews entered and began in earnest his campaign to be chosen to compete for the TV title, which does NOT have a guaranteed return match clause like many other titles. He watched as RGL Champion Dirty Daddy was chosen and introduced and sat in the bleachers with his people during the TV title match. After a high-flying ten minute time limit draw, Andrews rolled into the ring to celebrate with a stunned Jesse Adler, who wasn't sure what was going on at the time.
CWF Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Trevor Lee entered and threw down an open challenge for the evening's main event with his title on the line. Ethan Alexander Sharpe responded and stated that HE would win the title. Trevor Lee joked about how long Sharpe lasted against him in the Rumble and in previous title shots, and Sharpe responded by saying he could survive anything Lee could dish out for twenty minutes. Trevor Lee accepted the terms, announced the title was on the line in a 20 Minute Challenge Match, where Sharpe could win the title by merely making it through 20 minutes with the champion.
Trevor toyed with the challenger for the first ten minutes and seemed surprised to hear the time call when 10 minutes had elapsed, kicking it into high gear. Sharpe refused to back down and kept coming back at the champion and began feeling like he'd won the lottery as the final two and a half minutes began. Sharpe dropped Lee to the canvas several times, but after the fifteen second call, Lee flipped the switch, turned on Sharpe and forced him to submit with only five seconds remaining in the 20 minute challenge.
Following the main event, with Lee still in the ring, PWI International Heavyweight Champion C.W. Anderson appears on the video screen, challenging Trevor Lee to face him for HIS title. Lee calmly listened to the recorded comments and quietly accepted the challenge for Ultimate Survivor against the Rottweiler on November 18th.
