The first event of the 2019 calendar year kicked off at the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium with Cain Justice calling out his former partner, Corruption's Ethan A. Sharpe. Sharpe never responded and instead, CWF Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Trevor Lee entered and told Justice that he would wrestle him, right then, with the title on the line. And a new classic broke out in the opener at an RGL event...
A physical mostly-scientific battle erupted on the canvas between teacher and student with young Cain Justice proving he has indeed learned the lessons he's been taught over the course of his time in the ring. Chain wrestling happened, submission wrestling happened mixed in with some high-impact blows and kicks. It took nearly thirty minutes for Trevor Lee to force his student Cain Justice to tap out, ending the match. Lee picked up Justice and explained to the fans in attendance and on Twitch that Cain Justice was the future of CWF Mid-Atlantic.
Fatal Four-Way action was introduced with debuting Wilson Phillips, Number Man, debuting Alex Kane and Snooty Foxx going to war in and out of the ring at the sound of the bell. It began with four in the ring, then split into two in the ring with two on the floor and various combinations thereafter before Snooty Foxx got a three-count pinfall win over Phillips to decide the match.
Mike Mars hit a speed bump in singles action, drawing debuting Trey Havoc, who came to work ready to wrestle. The big youngster refused to back down from the only slightly bigger Mars and seemed to really enjoy dishing out punishment whenever the opportunity presented itself. Mars fired up late and finished off the impressive Havoc by pinfall after taking the brunt of the brutality of the bout.
Tag team action was introduced with Corruption's Ethan A. Sharpe and Dirty Daddy entering to take on the debuting team of the Rednexians' Bobby Flacco and Kavron Kanyon. The newcomers left a mark on the Sportatorium with their versatility and variety of moves and with the help of Cain Justice's water bottle, also picked up a victory over Corruption in their debut match at CWF Mid-Atlantic by pinfall.
Big Bellamy Koga entered next to challenge CWF Rising Generation League Champion "Cowboy" Kool Jay for the belt. The big man changed up his normal assault, going from kicks to the legs to kicks to the arms, catching the Sheriff off-guard early on and slowing any ideas he had of taking control of the match. Koga piled on the offense as the Cowboy tried to shake off the effects of the previous attacks and seemed to be making no progress for much of the bout before kicking it into high gear and finally getting a pinfall over Bellamy Koga to retain the title.
The main event singles bout was introduced, with Ulysse "OPA" Demos drawing his own tag team partner Teddy "TKO" Ireland Jr. as his opponent for his farewell match. The two training partners put on a "who can top that" exhibition, each doing the series of moves performed by the other before breaking loose into a mat wrestling bout. Ireland won the the match by pinfall and the room fell into a hush. Ulysse took the house mic and said farewell to the fans here in the USA, but not "goodbye" as he reveals he does intend to return to CWF Mid-Atlantic at his earliest opportunity. Safe travels my friend! See you soon!
