Mid Atlantic Sportatorium
A lively crowd assembled at the Mid Atlantic Sportatorium for an event following up an afternoon tryout and wrestling seminar to get a look at some up and coming young talent in the squared circle. They were not disappointed as a fun and action packed evening ensued.
Singles action kicked off the evening with Ethan Alexander Sharpe taking on Bellamy Koga in singles action. Koga, making his second Sportatorium appearance, held up early against Sharpe but the new attitude he's been carrying went off, Sharpe wins by pinfall.
"The Massive" Z Rex entered with returning Irvin Legend to take on "Boss Hogg" Vinnie Dalton in singles action. Legend stayed out of the way of many of Boss Hogg's early attacks, but was unable to fend off the more seasoned opponent, as Vinnie Dalton wins by pinfall.
"Mercenary" Graham Bell made his Sportatorium debut in singles action against the masked Dojo grad Metallico. Bell assumed an "immovable object" stature and made it work to his advantage to the extent he was able to pin the shoulders of Metallico for the win.
"Pitbull" Steven Idol debuted against returning Wes Rogers in singles action. Rogers, who is instantly the fan favorite for the kids because of his entrance music found out that you don't want to mess with a Pitbull in an enclosed area. After a hard-hitting battle, Steven Idol got out of the doghouse and howled with a pinfall win over the game Wes Rogers.
Los Chicanos' Jeff and Jonathon Castro debuted in tag team action against the returning Prodigal Sons' Garrett Coleman and Chance Rizer. The Sons used a strategy to keep the match in their corner, limiting the possible use of double-teams by Los Chicanos, but weren't able to stay in their corner the whole bout, with the Castro brothers taking the win by pinfall.
Before intermission could begin, Ethan Alexander Sharpe entered demanding a house mic. He then renewed an old habit and threw down an open challenge for anyone in the back to face him in the ring. He seemed quite surprised with CWF Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Trevor Lee walked through the curtain in tennis shoes and shorts saying he'd take that challenge. Sharpe wanted to know where the title was and demanded he defend it. Lee agreed, retrieved the title belt and climbed through the ropes to torture the "Sharpest Man In Wrestling".
As the crowd settled in for a possible long battle, judging from Lee's history of asking for no time limit defenses, Sharpe slipped into his all business persona and attacked the champion. Ethan Sharpe got in a few choice shots but Trevor Lee refused to stay down and began to dismantle Sharpe a body part at a time, beating him by pinfall in about ten plus minutes.
Thomas "the Tank Engine" Munoz was out next to challenge CWF Rising Generation League Champion Cain Justice for his strap. The big Tank Engine took the direct approach against Justice with good results early on in the match. Justice survived and continued trying to find a way to force a submission, but when the one chance for a pinfall came, he took it, pinning Munoz for the win to retain his title.
All Stars' Coach Gemini, Roy Wilkins, "Ace" Arik Royal, Mace Li and Jerry Carey entered with the house mic for the main event, explaining that a woman had grabbed the eye of everyone at the afternoon seminar and tryouts. He then introduced Allie Kat, telling her she could choose whichever All Star she prefered for the main event match. She refused all three, saying she had a couple of friends that wanted to compete in the main event as partners. Snooty Foxx and returning Jesse Adler hit the ring to take on the Coach's lineup of Wilkins, Royal and newcomer Mace Li, a third cousin twice removed of Chinese action movie star Jet Li.
Allie Kat started for her team, taking on Mace Li before both tagged out pitting Snooty Foxx against Roy Wilkins. After a few minutes, both teams tagged again, leaving Arik Royal in the face of Jesse Adler. Royal warned him that he would break his leg again, that if he wanted to continue, he'd hurt him. Adler wasn't phased by the threat and turned on the jets. After almost a half hour of combat, Allie Kat pulled the upset pinfall win for her team and the Coach erupted in anger. Climbing into the ring and throwing his flags, his whistle and his helmet, Coach Gemini found himself clutching his own head in agony with a certain cat behind him, dropping his trousers around his ankles. Hello Kitty is over.
